Default Memory Increases for Cisco 2691, Cisco 2600XM Series Platforms, and Cisco 1700 Series Access Routers
As of October 1, 2003, the Cisco® 2691 and 2600XM series platforms and the Cisco1700 Series Access Router and associated bundles are now being offered with additional default memory as outlined in Table 1 and Table 2. These default memory increases will result in lower solution prices and provide the foundation to deploy advanced services quickly and easily. These advanced services can take the form of integrated switching, content, security, DSL, or voice, and when combined can provide customers with a "Full Service Business."
The introduction of images in Cisco IOS® Software Release 12.3T recommends more DRAM and Flash memory on all Cisco 2600 and 1700 series models. Additional memory on these platforms provides a more cost-effective migration path for future services.
